Alas, yes.

I used to be a big, big fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs, specifically the Barsoom novels.  They were a welcome, nay, necessary bit of escapism in the dreary upfarked stretches of my childhood.

Years later I tried to re-read a couple, just for fun.  My instant reaction was 'I liked this crap?  What was I thinking?  This isn't even good garbage ( Read more... )
